RESPITE
Respite is temporary relief from duties for caregivers, ranging from several hours to days. It might be provided
in-home or in a care facility. Respite allows a caregiver to take a break and get away, maybe for a doctor appointment, grocery shopping or a weekend getaway with family. There are organizations that offer limited funding specifically to help caregivers pay for someone to be with their loved one, and care for them, while they are away.
Generations Central Adult Day Center
GCADC provides a safe space for older adults to receive adequate care during the day. They will "live to their full potential" through quality care and nurturing support.
Location: 318 S. West Street, Culpeper, VA (lower level of Culpeper Baptist Church)

Virginia Lifespan Voucher Program
The Virginia Lifespan Respite Voucher Program (VLRVP) provides reimbursement vouchers to Virginia caregivers for the cost of temporary, short-term respite care provided to individuals of any age, with a documented disability or medical condition.
Respite funding is limited to $595.00 per family through June 30, 2026, or until funds are exhausted. This program prohibits the use of these funds for rent, cleaning, medical supplies, food, or other household expenditures. Check their website for funds application information.
