Challenges such as chronic illness can be unexpectedly difficult, especially for those who take on the role of family caregiver. The pandemic has removed the ability for support groups to meet together in person. But check back as we work to provide information about virtual groups. Support groups help remove some of the lonliness, fear and anxiety many caregivers face because they offer an opportunity to share, give insight and ideas, or become a place to just "get away" and listen.
Listening Together: Caregiver Story Sharing (Live Discussion) - Meets 1st Monday of the month at 10:00am
Caregiving by a family member can be stressful and lonely. Often respite can come in the form of talking to others with similar circumstances. Join Boomie Pedersen for weekly Zoom meetings where you can share your caregiving stories, or just listen to how others are coping with their own situations. These sessions are meant to be relaxing and to help you connect with other people when you may be feeling isolated. You can join anytime. You do not have to have attended the group before.
