Senior Gold Card. Fauquier County senior citizens are reminded that the school division offers a program that will grant them free admission to school events. The "VIP Senior Gold Card," available to any Fauquier County senior citizen age 60 and older, is an admission ticket to almost any FCPS school event that charges admission. Community Conversation on Aging. The Fauquier Senior Care Network of Aging Together recently held their annual Community Conversation on Aging. The event brings together citizens, businesses, and government from throughout Fauquier county to share information on making Fauquier a better place to live and grow older. Handyman Helper Program. The Fauquier Senior Care Network in partnership with Fauquier Habitat for Humanity is developing plans for a Handyman Helper program. Most of the work will consist of home repairs such as plumbing and electrical work, insulation, doors and windows, stairs and ramps. Volunteer Transportation Program. VolTran is proud to announce it now has 27 volunteer drivers! Some of the volunteers will also run errands to the grocery store or pharmacy for qualified seniors.
